Registration, modification and transfer of protected or two-digit DOMAINs (e.g. municipalities)

.ch DOMAINs that are specially protected by the OFCOM (e.g. municipalities) are blocked for any mutations (new registrations, transfers and mutations like address changes and change of nameservers)

  • The unlocking of the domain has to be requested at the registry SWITCH

Please contact us so that we can unlock the DOMAIN for you

After the successful modification or registration, Swizzonic will have to lock the DOMAIN again. You are therefore kindly requested to let us know once you’ve completed your modifications.

Please note that if a DOMAIN should be registered by a third person, the municipality (that the DOMAIN is reserved for by OFCOM) has to give their written consent.

Two-digit DOMAINs

The only available two digit domains are the canton abbreviations, specifically allocated to the cantons. The same rules apply as for the municipality domains.
