Please save all of your emails before transferring anything. That way none of your emails will be lost.
-If your connection type is POP3, you don’t have to worry about anything since all of your received/sent emails are already saved locally on your computer.
If your connection type is IMAP you can save your files as follows:
- Outlook: Export your emails in a .pst file: https://support.microsoft.com/kb/287070/de
- If your email program does not offer an export-solution, we suggest you use this program: https://www.audriga.com/de.html
Most email programs support the Drag & Drop feature.
That means that after having transferred your DOMAIN you can open a new account in your mail program and connect it to the newly set up mailbox. Now you can move your emails from the inactive mailbox to the new one.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the same password of the old for the new mailbox! This prevents the sever from accidentally wanting to connect to the old mailbox.
